Who we are

Northern Colorado Grassroots (NCGR) is a team of mountain bikers based out of Fort Collins, Colorado who like to have a good time and love riding bikes. We like to race our bikes, be good stewards of the trails, give back to the community, and be all around good advocates for the sport of mountain biking.

Here's to another year of ridin' and racing!

Tomorrow we will gather upon the Road 34 bike bar for Northern Colorado Grassroots' (NCGR) second meeting of the year.  We will be talking with Brad from the Fort Collins Full Cycle bike shop about how we will be able to help each other out this season and how we can give back to the Fort Collins community as a team.  I suspect there will be some upcoming race ideas thrown around, as some of us have already signed up for a number of races this year and in one case, already raced one.  The races so far look like this: Single Speed Arizona (2/5/11), Voodoo Fire (4/23/11), Desert RATS Classic (5/14/11), and the Dakota Five-O (9/4/11).  There's also a number of us in the Laramie Enduro (7/30/11) lottery and I'm sure there will be some takers for the 24 Hours in the Sage race (8/20-21/11) and possibly the Breckenridge 100 (7/15-16/11).  Hopefully we will have some time left over to discuss the direction of this blog and find some riders who are interested in expressing their inner journalistic self through NCGR blog posts.
I have a feeling that this is going to be a great season.

Ride on!
Chris
